During the Annual Business Meeting at the KAPPA Spring 2026 Conference, held April 21–23 in Hershey, new officers were elected and leadership transitions were announced for the KAPPA Board of Directors.

Mark Bodenschatz of The Pennsylvania State University left the board after serving his term as Immediate Past President. Mark is a long-time member of KAPPA, and we wish him well and hope he enjoys retirement. Thank you, Mark, for the leadership you provided. Your dedication and commitment to KAPPA and our members is much appreciated.

Erik Cagle moved into the role of Immediate Past President after serving as KAPPA President during the 2025–2026 term. Erik’s leadership helped guide the organization through another successful year of engagement, collaboration, and record growth. We thank him for his dedication and continued service to KAPPA.

Scott Albert of Slippery Rock University was promoted to President of the Board of Directors. Scott brings strong leadership experience and a continued commitment to advancing KAPPA’s mission.

Mike Hoffman of Penn State University was promoted to First Vice President. Mike has been an active contributor to the organization and will play a key role in supporting KAPPA’s strategic initiatives.

Brian Richards of Penn-Trafford School District was elected as Second Vice President. Brian’s experience and engagement within the organization will support continued member growth and development.

Michael Mumper of Franklin and Marshall College was elected as Director of Membership and Community. In this role, Michael will focus on strengthening member engagement and expanding KAPPA’s network.

Ashley Spears of Gannon University was elected as Director of Speakers and Events. Ashley will help lead the planning and delivery of KAPPA’s conferences and professional development opportunities.

KAPPA looks forward to the leadership of this dedicated group as the organization continues to support excellence in educational facilities across the region.
