STATEMENT OF PURPOSE / GOALS

CHARTER

The primary goal of the KAPPA Business Partner (BP) Engagement Committee is to grow/retain chapter membership by promoting chapter events, assisting with outreach and communication efforts, and supporting other activities as appropriate to increase engagement.

How to Get Involved

  • Business Partner Director – Appointed by the Board, this role serves a 2-year term (renewable once, for a total of 4 years). The Director nominates a successor—ideally from the BP Committee—to shadow for one year, pending Board approval.
  • Business Partner Committee – Committee members are active KAPPA BP representatives who have attended a conference and support the Committee’s goals. Active involvement in meetings and serving on at least 1 Subcommittee (ideally as Chair) is expected. Membership is limited, with open positions filled by Subcommittee members.
  • Business Partner Subcommittees – Subcommittee membership is open to any active KAPPA Business Partner interested in a specific Committee/Chapter priority. Each Subcommittee is chaired by a BP Committee member who assembles a group from their firm or the Chapter. Subcommittees meet regularly according to their charter.
